A closed-loop MC control system built for the veneer drying line, covering net dryers, roll dryers, and hot air roller dryers. Three configurations, one integrated intelligence platform. Built to eliminate under-drying and over-drying at the source.
Veneer arrives at the drying line carrying 60–80% initial moisture content. Before it can enter the assembling line, it must be dried to a stable 8–12% range. The challenge is not the drying itself — it is the consistency. Veneer that exits the dryer too wet causes glue bond failure and delamination in the press. Veneer that exits too dry becomes brittle and breaks during lay-up. Both outcomes mean rework, material loss, and reduced throughput. Most dryers run on fixed speed settings that do not account for natural variation in green veneer MC, wood species, veneer thickness, or seasonal humidity, and operators have no reliable real-time feedback to correct the drift.
The Moisture Content Analysis System solves this by adding an intelligence layer directly onto the drying line. It measures MC before the veneer enters the dryer, adjusts dryer speed automatically based on what the veneer actually needs, and verifies the MC of every sheet at the output. The result is a closed loop: the dryer is continuously corrected by real data, not by operator guesswork.
Three configurations are available to match the dryer technology installed in your mill. The EN-303 is designed for net dryers handling thin veneer. The GENUS-306i is designed for roll dryers handling core veneer, with an added ink spot-marking system for visual identification of underdried sheets. The VMA-312 is a post-dryer detection and automatic sorting unit for hot air roller dryers and roll dryers, routing underdried sheets back to the dryer infeed automatically. All three use the same capacitive MC sensing platform and the same closed-loop logic.
Each branch maps to a specific dryer type and control method. Click any system header or process step to view its description. EN-303 and GENUS-306i run closed-loop in-dryer control. VMA-312 operates as a post-dryer detection and sorting gate.
